We’re so excited to welcome your family to the Romona community. Starting kindergarten or at a new school is a big milestone, and the Romona PTA is here to help you and your Mustang feel supported every step of the way.

Important Dates

  • May 6, 2026 – Kindergarten Orientation (5:30 PM)
  • June 3, 2026 – Kindergarten Playdate (3:45 PM, rain or shine)
  • Mid-August – Teacher placement and back-to-school information
  • August 18, 2026 – Chalk the Walk (day before the first day of school)
  • August 19, 2026 - Meet and Greet for Kindergartners & their grown-ups
  • August 19, 2026 - First day of school for grades 1st-4th (Early Release)
  • Thursday, August 20, 2026 - First day of school for Kindergarteners (full day: 8:35 am-3:15 pm)

If you are an incoming kindergarten family, school tours will be offered during Kindergarten Orientation and New Family Night.
