Winter Lunch Clubs Fundraiser
This winter, the Romona PTA is bringing back Lunch Clubs. This is a Romona PTA fundraiser that will offer students engaging ways to enjoy their lunchtime. From creative movement and performing arts to hands-on STEM and crafting, Lunch Clubs give students a fun way to explore new interests while supporting PTA-funded enrichment opportunities for our Mustangs.
Registration for Lunch Clubs OPEN at 12PM December 17th
and Closes December 21st at 6PM.
Clubs meet weekly on their assigned day, January 12th through March 6th & 13th for
make up classes due to instructor illness or no school days.
Lunch Clubs FAQ (click to expand) ▼
What are Lunch Clubs?
Lunch Clubs are optional enrichment activities offered during the lunch period in the winter months. Students eat first, then join their selected club led by a contracted instructor. Clubs provide creative, movement based, and hands on opportunities while staying on campus.
How many sessions does each club run?
Each club runs for one session that is 7 and 8 weeks (depending on club).
When do clubs meet?
Club dates are being finalized and will meet from January through March. Make up classes will run the following week. Students eat from 11:30 to 11:45, then transition to clubs.
How much do clubs cost?
Each club has its own fee listed. Payment must be submitted via Zelle within 24 hours to hold the spot.
When does registration open and what if a club fills?
Registration opens December 17th and closes December 21st. If a club fills that your student is interested in joining, please email president@romonapta.org to be added to the waitlist.
Are clubs first come, first served?
Yes. Once spots fill, a waitlist will be available. Please email president@romonapta.org if you would like to be put on a waitlist for a class.
How do students know what room to go to once lunch is dismissed for clubs?
Teachers distribute lunch club lanyards on club days and staff and PTA volunteers will be nearby to help students navigate where they need to be.
Who keeps track of attendance?
Instructors record attendance at the start of each club. You will be notified if your child does not attend for more than two sessions in a row.
What if there isn't school on a day of the club, will there be a make up class?
Make up classes will happen the week of March 9th for Monday, Tuesday and Friday classes.
What if my instructor is sick?
If your instructor is sick on the day of your club, they will run one additional week.
Who supervises Lunch Clubs?
Qualified instructors lead the clubs and take attendance at the start of each session. School staff and PTA volunteers help supervise transitions from the cafeteria to club rooms and support students as needed during that transition.
My child has an IEP or 504. Can they participate?
Lunch Clubs operate independently from District 39 and follow an enrichment-style model. While instructors are not required to accommodate IEP/504 plans, families are welcome to share any strategies that help their child thrive. Instructors will do their best to support students within the structure of the class.
Can we receive a refund if my child no longer wants to attend?
Refunds are available during the registration window but will not available after registration closes, unless another student fills the spot from the waitlist. Please reach out to president@romonapta.org for more information.
