SUPPORT OUR SISTER SCHOOL & PARTICIPATE IN ROMONA'S 2011 COAT DRIVE
In an
effort to encourage the spirit of kids helping kids, we are once again inviting
Romona families to donate their gently used winter wear to support our sister
school in Zion. They are in need of winter coats, snow pants, gloves,
hats, scarves and boots. They also need sweatpants and socks for 5-7 year olds
ONLY.
The 2011
School Coat Drive will run: Monday,
October 24th - Friday, October 28th.
Donations
can be dropped off in the donation bins located inside the school lobby.
ABOUT ROMONA'S SISTER SCHOOL COMMITTEE
Romona's Sister School Committee manages the relationship between our school and West Elementary in Zion, IL.
West Elementary serves many underprivileged families. Our goal is to give a helping hand to the staff and children at West Elementary while providing an opportunity for our children to be involved in serving others.
Some of Sister School Committee's past activities have been:
- coat/hat drives
- used school supply collection at year-end
- used book sale, with the proceeds going to West School and remaining books filling the shelves of their library.

See you next year!Gather your gently used children's books and donate them to a worthy cause! Through our Service Learning Project & Environmental Awareness Week, we are offering a Used Book Exchange. For every 5 books a child brings in during the Drop-Off times above, they will receive 1 coupon to pick out a donated book to be selected during Environmental Awareness Week at the dates below. Click here for more details. The remaining 4 will be donated to our Sister School in Zion.
