Women’s Soccer League Fall 2011
Regular Season Rules

**Every team (except 8) has 2 BYES.
**(1)    St. Francis    (2)    McKenzie    (3)    Romona
(4)    Central (5)    Glenview FC    (6)    Harper    (7)    Winnetka    (8)    Glenview Storm

**1V3 and 7V2 and 6V8 were rained out. We can have the tournament on Oct.29/30 weekend without these teams scheduling. We can use the standings based on 20 other games. However, if they want to play each other, they can set it up.

**Here are the rules that were decided upon last spring:
Rules (These are based on all the input I received from all the team contacts. Thank you.)

**Most important rule: This league is one of friendly competition. Let's play as if all of our children were watching the game and react accordingly. Let's keep it clean and friendly while being competitive. Letʼs try and help each other out - if we have to play on the big field, and a team is short players, maybe only play 9 v 9 so they can have a sub or two. I donʼt think anyone wants another team to forfeit because of this. Work it out in the spirit of the league - weʼre all just here to have fun and play soccer.

*Field Size:#    Now, based on availability, we will play on both sized fields.

**We will play 2 , 35 minute halves with the smaller field. If we are on the larger field, we will play 2, 25 minute halves. There will be a 4-5 minute half time.

**We will have one "official ref" per game, while trying to a line ref from spectators from each team.    Official refs are $75.    Serena has provided us with some names and numbers. Each game is responsible for getting their own refs. So, far, this has worked well.

**Fields cost $25/field for 2 hours. If we have 2 games on one field itʼs $25. If we have 2 games on 2 different fields itʼs $50. The total cost is $150, which is $18.75/team. Please send your check to Carla Dawson 120 Hibbard Road Wilmette, IL 60091.

**Games will end in a tie unless it is the end of season tourney. Rules of tourney TBD.

**Standings will be 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and zero points for a loss. If there is a tie among teams after the point total, we will move to the following tiebreaker order:

1. Head to Head Competition:   If you played a team you are tied with head on, the tie breaker goes to the team that won the earlier match up game.
2. Goal Differential:    Goals Scored - Goals Against = Goal Differential. The higher the goal differential, the winner of the tiebreaker.
3. Goals Scored: If there is STILL a tie after these 3 above options, team with most goals scored wins the tiebreaker.

**After each game, captains will email the game score and game winner to all so it can be recorded for standings. I will be happy to keep track of these statistics.

**If a team cannot field a team for play, it is up to them and the team they are scheduled to play to reserve a field, a date and refs. If every effort is made to reschedule, and it cannot be done, the one team takes a loss as a forfeit.
